I was born and raised on the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia in Musquodoboit Harbour, where I spent my childhood swimming, sailing, surfing, and exploring the coastline. At 18, I moved west, fell in love with the mountains, and chased snow across Lake Louise, Banff, Panorama, and Whistler. I even spent an entire year living in Australia. I valued life experience over money and it made my soul feel rich.

By 30, I felt a deep desire to grow professionally. I became an electrical apprentice under my best friend on Vancouver Island, went back to school, and worked tirelessly for four years. Passing the interprovincial Red Seal exam was the hardest and most rewarding thing I've ever done - it gave me the confidence to believe I could achieve anything in life.

My love for Vancouver Island and its natural beauty inspired me to combine my trade skills with my passion for giving back to nature. That's when I discovered renewable energy. I began working with solar, batteries, and wind systems often traveling to remote communities to help First Nations remain secure and self-sufficient.

Since 2022, I've been back in Nova Scotia with my amazing partner, Rosie, and our little girl, who is the center of our world. Becoming a parent changed how I see everything now I feel called to make this world better for her future.

That's why I founded Oceanside Renewable Energy Inc. I specialize in grid-tied and off-grid systems. My electrical expertise has turned into a passion and an art. I am always striving to stay at the forefront of my industry. I truly love working alongside my customers, I love educating and I love learning. I'm hoping to help us all live more sustainably and more cost effectively. Oceanside is for the people and the planet.
